D Commerce Bank (D Bank) is the first Bank within the system of Borika (the local 3rd party processor), that is certified by MasterCard  for introducing cards with a protection chip technology of latest generation, known as DDA. The integrated smart chip in D Bank’s MasterCard and Maestro cards is virtually impossible to be duplicated, as the client’s information is encrypted and engineered to be tamper resistant, guaranteeing maximum protection and security on a daily basis.
The majority of ATMs and POS terminals accept the new cards, however, besides the chip D Bank’s cards will also have a magnetic stripe for those ATMs and POSes abroad that cannot read the chip information.
Cards issuing and servicing of the chip cards' account  is free of any fees. When banking with the new MasterCard cards no fees will be paid for merchant POS transactions all around the world, for payments via internet, or to draw cash at ATMs and POSes. However, unlike the previous cards (magnetic striped), entering your PIN is required when paying at merchants with the chip ones. MasterCard cards offer our clients a free traveler and medical insurance, while being abroad. The Bank offers also profitable interest on the card account and additional cards can be issued to closely related to the cardholder.
Any D Bank’s cardholder can automatically and electronically pay for utility bills or use the SMS notification facility (for authorization and balance check).
The current cards shall be replaced by the new ones after the expiry of their validity term.
