Nikolay Spasov is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of D Commerce Bank, after the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) issued a certificate of qualification and professional experience in banking under the Credit Institutions Act, and he was duly entered in the Commercial Register and Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities.
Mr Spasov has many years of expertise in digital transformation, the optimisation of internal processes and the management of banking operations.
His professional career has been entirely connected with Bulgarian and international financial institutions, where he has successfully delivered large-scale and complex projects in areas such as risk management, everyday banking, payment technologies, credit administration, cash and card operations, and treasury activities. In his work, he consistently applies high standards of information and physical security, ensuring the resilience and reliability of banking services.
The Management Board of D Commerce Bank consists of 5 members – Mr Nikolay Spasov, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board, Ms Valentina Borisova, Executive Director, Mr Plamen Dermendzhiev, Executive Director, Mr Ivaylo Hadzhiev, Executive Director, and Mr Zahari Alipiev, Chief Manager, Retail Banking and Branch Network.
